Artist’s Statement:

My Abstract Art has been inspired by my experience living in urban cities. Constant changes in city spaces have brought about imbalances between nature and cityscapes, transforming it into a concrete jungle.
Deploying mixed media and found objects, I attempt to express the connection and constant tension among the various elements of city life as a result of my concern over the encroaching urbanisation.
The Medium becomes my Language, using layering to create depth and mystery to express my thoughts and ideas.
My approach to art has been influenced by Picasso’s love for creation and constantly seeking and striving for new means of expression, Jean Debuffet’s true and uninhibited expression, and Robert Rauschenberg’s use of unconventional material.
I desire that each piece of my art to be meaningful and intriguing, providing a wonderful experience for the viewer.
